Who is the Millennial Historian?

Hello! I’m Bill Hecklick, the Millennial Historian. You may already know me from my years on the video game circuit and the toy conventions. If not, it’s a pleasure to meet you!

Pictured here is me and my wife, Katie, hanging out at Disney World in October. I’m sporting a Silver Shamrock shirt from the greatest Halloween movie of all-time: Halloween III.

Don’t @ me. You wouldn’t believe how many people at Disney recognized the shirt!

Katie is the most amazing (and tolerant) woman in the world for putting up with my borderline obsession with collecting various 80s and 90s nostalgia. Our basement looks like a Toys R Us circa 1991. I’m not kidding. She also bought me the Silver Shamrock shirt. Lucky man!

Katie and I live just outside of Pittsburgh, PA with our two children, Luke and Leia. Our children are cats. We spend most of our free time trying to prevent them from destroying the house.

The first week we adopted them, I laid on the couch and watched WWE with them. They proceeded to chew the ropes to one of my wrestling rings the very next day.

Aside from monitoring our devil-children-cats, we both love reading, going out for a good steak, being the “cool” aunt and uncle to our 5 nieces and nephews, and hitting up the antique stores and thrift stores.

I own a tax business, and Katie works in local government. I’m also a board member of our local chamber of commerce, our local historical society, and the chair of a foundation that teaches youth about entrepreneurship.

Oh, and I’m a huge nerd. Let’s not forget that.

Thanks for visiting, hope you enjoy what you see!
